Read A/C Fault Codes Thru OBD2 or 38 Pin?
2001 W163 ML55.
Is it it possible to read a/c fault codes thru OBD2?
I am thinking not, but can I read them thru the 38 pin plug without paying a fortune for software?
I have searched quite a lot and don't seem to be able to find any solution for just connecting a laptop (thru serial link converter) and getting a/c codes without paying for expensive hardware/software.

If your AAC looks like the one in my link, just enter the diagnostic mode on the AAC panel itself.
