short battery life

I have a 2001 ML55 and it only has about 25,000 miles on it. We have noticed that if we don't use the vehicle for four to five days, the battery goes dead. Mercedes came out and gave us a new battery three months ago and it did not help. I took it back to the dealer a couple times and they said that they have gone through the charging system and there is nothing wrong. The miliamp test shows 30-40 miliamp draw all the time and they claimed that was normal. Any suggestions?

Replacement Battery

I just replaced my battery for the 2nd time (2000 ML55) This time I went with Interstate Batteries' part # MTP-93 -- 18 month full replacement / 85 month pro-rated. this one should last longer that MB's battery.

My battery lasted about 5 years 42k before it was dead.

The dealer said that was about right.

Check that your glove box light isn't on. The trigger that keeps the light off in my glovebox broke and it kept the light on, eventually draining the battery to the point where it wasnt possible to fully recharge it.
