You cannot buy a used key fob and program it for your car. You have to order it new directly from the stealership!

People need to stop buying these used key fobs online bc you can't do anything with them

If you can do a key for 2015 ML63 I'll come to you. I've been told by many sources that 2015+ are impossible outside of the dealer service.

As a Mercedes Parts advisor, I cannot release a DAS key over the counter to customers without it being programmed at my dealership.

There are ways to get fresh keys online, and generic ones that are supposed to work. I would have bought the machine that can clear and reprogram used ones for what the dealer wants to charge in parts and labor, but all the info I find states for 2014 and under.

yeah that makes sense because 2013 and older are mostly das 3 ignition systems, the das 4 system needs a working key to be programmed off with xentry.
that's why when you lose both keys on newer vehicles, we have to order a programmed key from Germany and not my standard key & lock center
