Roof Racks

Hi all,

Has anyone on here removed the roof rack/rails on the ML63 before? I was thinking to remove them (as I dont use them) however I would be left with the bolt holes in the roof once removed. I was wondering if anyone removed them and has had covers made or what have you done?
Alternatively I was going to get them painted black.

Thanks in advanced.

I looked into this as well, head liner has to come down and no one makes a cover for the bolt holes etc.....

I am not familiar with the ML63, but I had a 2011 Volvo XC90 and I was able to order Volvo oem black rubber gaskets that fit into the holes when you remove the luggage rack. I got rid of the car before ever installing them. Recommend looking at one of the Mercedes sites that sells OEM parts and look up the section that covers luggage racks and see if they have rubber inserts to fill the factory holes.

Great idea! I'll check out some part sites. Maybe pelican parts or similar will have an option for us
