Hi guys, long sorry in short, I have a ML63 and it lost power on the high way while on cruise control. Towed it back to the MB dealership and found water in the boot. 10 hours of diagnosing later, the control module was found to be faulty and they suspect water had gone through the bumper and went back into the boot through some random seal (please see the attached picture) and filled up the boot with rain water. I would say it’s gonna be at least 3cm deep to reach where the control module was. The fix is claimed to be a warranty issue and they will replace the module and improve the seal.
The guys at the MB workshop said they suspected that the white silicone seal bits didn’t work properly and somehow water had gone through and went back into the boot. Water suspected coming in from the left side. The control module sits high near the black round looking object, so a significant amount of water had filled up the boot in order to reach it. This is damaged control module
Thanks!!
Has anyone had this issue before? Or heard of it? To me, losing power is a big concern and looking for your ideas/advice as how I should deal with this?
