W166 ML63 Rear Wash Wipe Leak

Hi,
New here, recently bought a 2013 ML63 and have a ear washer leak down the rear window when using the washer. Question is, how do I get to the pipework that is inside the rear spoiler ?
Thanks

Per WIS the spoiler comes off after the liftgate trim is removed. Start at the bottom (near the latch) and remove trim pieces, handles and electrical connectors using a plastic trim wedge tool and the apprproriate fastener tools (nut drivers, etc.).

Thanks, I'll have a good look tomorrow. Didn't want to start tearing bits off if I didn't need to, always good to hear advise from someone who's been in there before. Do the smaller trims around the window come away without removing the large lower panel or does that need to come off first ? Presumably the spoiler is then attached with bolts through the hatch ?

WIS says the lower (large) trim needs to come off before removing the upper two trims.

The upper two trims need to come off to expose threaded fasteners that hold the spoiler to the liftgate.

Therefore the large liftgate trim needs to come off to remove the spoiler. I haven't done this job, just telling you what WIS says. The sequence should be clear when you look at the trim pieces, there is likely overlapping or "shingling" that is visible, indicating the order the parts need to be removed.

Thanks for that info Chassis. I had a look over the weekend and discovered that I didn't need to remove the large trim. It just means you need to support the smaller outer 'window
' trims while you work (they do get in the way a bit tho). This could be worth knowing as the large tailgate trim seems a bit of a **** to get off
