Unhappy AMG mirror not working

HI MB World;

I drive a 2010 ML63 AMG and my driver mirror just stopped working and folding out, It just flops there and folds in even when I drive. It didn't get hit or anything so I'm not quite sure what is happening or if it may be and electrical issue. the passenger side is working. I have warranty but they are currently closed. It's such a hazard driving without a working mirror so any help on a temp fix is appreciated.

I would suggest that the simplest fix would be to take off the driver door panel and disconnect the mirror from the door control module.
To take off the driver door panel you
a) wind the window down
b) Remove the tweeter
c) Remove the black plastic trim from the edge of the window
d) Remove the special clip near rear edge of the door (long nose pliers, pull out the middle section, twist 90 degrees and reinsert it to release the internal plastic springs, then it can be pulled out.
e) Remove the cover just under the door handle
f) Remove the main torx screw
g) Using a wedge or plastic tools, Remove the entire panel from the door (be careful not to destroy the orange clips). Unclip the door opening mechanism.
You will see the door control module under there.
Can't recall which plug controls the mirror but you can simply disconnect it.
Remember that the car will probably complain it can't see the mirror and add errors to the fault log but at least the mirror will stay in the same place.

Hope that helps
/Marcus
