MY13+ Timing Chain Tensioner Photos Under Oil Cap
Does anyone else have the updated tensioner installed in their M157 from factory? I have a MY14, and I do have the updated timing chain but I cannot see a tensioner when I look in the oil cap.
Reason I am mainly asking is because I thought I would be safe with a MY14 and the timing chain considering it was about 2 years since they implemented the update to the chain. However, while watching a Tasos YouTube video; he received 2 new M157 engines made for service and when he opened the oil cap on one of them there was a tensioner visible. I do not have a visible tensioner under the oil cap - just updated timing chain.
Anyone with MY13+ (most likely MY15+) do you have the updated tensioner installed from factory?

New Timing Chain?
So, is this what the new chain is supposed to look like? New to the ML world and looking to buy a 2013 with 66K miles. What should I look for? Thanks very much.

The info on this thread is bad
Go to the e63 pages and search under m157. Lots of info... that’s where I’ve contributed.
Good luck
