Dreaded Cylinder 5 Misfire

Hey guys so I've developed code P0305 which is cylinder 5 misfire in my non-tuned 2013 ML63 with110,000 miles. This along with P0366 Camshaft position sensor "B" circuit range/performance bank 1 and P0367 Camshaft position sensor "B" circuit low bank 1. I've never abused her and to my knowledge she has never been tuned. She also has the updated timing chain.

I've ordered some coil packs along with the camshaft position sensors to see if a simple swap will rectify the problem. But im also trying to prepare myself for the worst being the much more serious valve leak problem that I've been reading about.
The truck runs beautifully and doesn't shake or hesitate at all. The code seems to go a way for a day and then comes back. To my knowledge Bank 1 is on the passenger side (USA) and cylinder 5 is on the drivers side which shouldn't have any influence on each other. This fact also furthers my concern.

Has anyone here experienced this issue with their m157 and are there any success stories where it wasn't the valve problem after all? Possibly and oil ingress to the harness? I'm still trying to stomach the idea that a simple misfire could actually result in a 20k repair. Any information would be appreciated.

Needs diagnosed.

Check the cam position sensor and cam solenoid harness connectors for oil. Check the ECU pins for oil.

Compression check.

bore scope in # 5.

Then report back.

So I inspected and found all 4 of my camshaft sensor plugs compromised and full of oil. Looks like I caught it just in time because oil did not make its way up the harness. I replaced those along with cylinder 5 spark plug and ignition coil for safe measure. Check engine light is now gone and hasn't reappeared in over a week. Will probably perform full spark plug and ignition coil replacement soon.

Good to hear of the diagnosis and no CEL. I would also check the cam magnet connectors for oil. So 8 connectors in total: 4 cam posn sensors and 4 magnets.
