motor swap

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone can help I have recently purchased a ml63 with a blown motor also just brought a c-class 6.3 engine both AMG would like to know if motors will interchange easily and what do I have to change I believe sump and engine mounts is that all?

6.3L engine will not work in a 166 ML63 without someone who can somehow make the ECU work with a NA engine or re-wire the car and use the ECU from the M156 engine. I don't think the M157 was ever used in the C class.

MB used a lot of fancy electronics in these cars, and even when you do something seemingly innocuous, it can require reprogramming just for the same exact swapped PN of a module, or whatever. So it may seem apples to apples, but it's not; and you will end up pulling your hair out should you go that route, in my honest opinion. A couple of wires in the harness, a switched pin, and you're really in a pickle, not even worth it man, just get the right engine. As a Ford guy, it's super "easy," and it's still not that easy. MB? No way.
