Coolant leak
My fantastic 2014 ML63 beast. The coolant leak between the firewall is progressing. based on my research it’s the coolant feed line inferior piece that has a revised version, it’s a $25 part. I always have the AMG temps and none goes well over 200F. I just keep coolant level in the tank at the level where it won’t give an error.
There’s a shop in NY/NJ where the tech removed the entire intake manifold on a 2013 E63. I think the ML have more space between the firewall and engine, maybe. https://youtu.be/H7YmGOinRjg
I just saw a video of a DIY removing the wiper arms, and cowl cover to replace the hvac hose, which I think also gives access to the coolant feed line piece behind the engine.
I’m in Tampa Florida, if anyone have any experience mechanic to refer me, or DIY instruction that I can pass along a handy friend.
Also have some thoughts of selling, to get another Tesla.
