Blank rear LCD screens in W166 - seeking diagnostic advice
I'm working on a w166 gle 350 with a non-functional rear entertainment system. Both LCD screens are powered on but remain completely blank white with no video or menu display.
Things I've checked so far:
- Power and ground checks to screens are good
- Video/audio cables test okay with continuity
- No error codes present for display modules
- Tried resetting with long button press to no avail
My diagnostic tool (DTS Monaco) can identify both the left and right rear display control units. I've attempted to flash them back to factory settings using the matching CFF files but am still seeing a blank screen result after clearing codes.
At this point I'm struggling to narrow down if this is an issue with the head unit itself, the wiring, or possibly faulty screens. Before replacing expensive components, I wanted to reach out for any other suggestions from the community on possible tests or troubleshooting steps to try diagnosing this puzzling blank display problem.
Any additional advice or diagnostic procedures that may provide clues would be greatly appreciated. My goal is to get these rear screens lively again without unnecessary repairs. Thanks in advance for any insights
