Door lights - stopped working is there a fuse
ML350 (W166) 2013. My door lights (which should turn on automatically when the doors are opened) have stopped working on both sides. At the same time, the tailgate-closing switch light also stopped illuminating, although the switch itself still works and closes the tailgate normally. I removed the lights and checked the bulbs, and they are fine. Using a multimeter, I discovered that there is no voltage reaching the lights. I’ve read that in newer models these lights can be disabled through the settings menu, but my 2013 model doesn’t have that option. So my question is: Is there a separate fuse that supplies power to these door lights? Everything else in the car works normally. If such a fuse exists, where can I find it? I don’t have a fuse diagram.
Any advice or knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
The fuse diagrams for the W166 are easily available online. if you want to send me a DM with your email address, I can send them to you
Check fuse F36 in the rear SAM (fuse box). It's a 7.5 amp fuse that controls the door and trunk courtesy lights.
The rear fuse box is usually in the right-hand side of the trunk, behind a panel. Replace that specific fuse and your lights should work again.
