Please send me a pic of the unit and serial number if possible , so I can make sure it will function in my w211 E55. Although I live in South Africa one of my mates in New York will purchase the unit for me and send it on thereafter as soon as all is confirmed

2003 E320 W211
This is the stock unit that came in my W211 E320 US-Spec. It has no navigation capability. Just radio/cassette/phone. Is that OK with you?
