first the details

Alpine IVA205 multimedia system http://vault.alpine-usa.com/products...-W205%20OM.PDF
Alpine NVE-872a DVD NAV http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...odel=NVE-N872A with both DVD disks
Alpine KCE-300BT Bluetooth phone module http://vault.alpine-usa.com/products..._KCE-300BT.PDFand http://vault.alpine-usa.com/products...OMP_070607.PDF
KCE-422i High speed iPod cable http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...model=KCE-422i with a PAC audio 12v to 5v charging adapter for the newer touch/phone/nano as shown in the following photos

next the problems...

I had to cut the microphone and speak button wires, you will need to solder them back together (15minutes or so to do it) aids in running the wires.

white wire to the white wire and the braided line to the braided line...

you will need to extend the ground wire on the NAV as it is about 3-4 inches long

I will include a PAC TR7 to bypass the video function however I can not confirm it will work as I did not hook it up. advice here... go buy one off line for $20 and hook it up

I also cut the plug for the navigation "speak button" 3 wires as this has voice recognition.

here is some real cool things about this system

besides the basics of am/fm/cd/dvd touchscreen, it has full speed iPod control (doesn't do video though) and has the best Navigation system.

Zagat restaurant guide, search by phone number, also while connected via bluetooth, you can call a destination from the nav system.

it has a speak button for voice control of the nav system, which, you can press to select sources, track up/dn, station etc... I was going to rebuild it to interface with steering wheel controls to activate, but got lazy as it is awesome as it is.

also with the Sirius or xm nav traffic interface you get congestion updates every 5 minutes, shows accidents, speed patterns... and the xm piece does weather updates every 15 minutes, can even select different cities to get real time weather there

if you travel daily on business... just enter your daily plan and it will do the rest for you

also 3d landmarks... which is nice, shows some landmarks in 3d view to help you orientate with the area if unfamiliar

basically the best ever Nav, which is why it retails by itself for $1,700 tomorrow night it goes on ebay

the extra's I had laying around and toss them in there

here are some pics of the unit
