I recently took my 2005 C55 for some warranty work and they replaced my
bixenons because the motors were slightly noisy. I never noticed it and
the bixenons always aligned properly. I have never had any issues with
the headlights and they have always worked. The headlights were removed
by the dealership and they are 100%. They both have working xenon bulbs
and ballasts, no tabs are broken, and everything works.
The only bad thing about the headlights are the lenses. I believe they have
started to yellow on the top portion, but I'm sure that could be refinished.
For those that do not have factory xenons, you will need to get your car
coded for xenons, otherwise the lights will flicker and turn off. I retrofitted
bixenons on my C32, before I had the car coded for xenons, I would
need to turn the key to the second position and I was able to get the
xenons to turn on and stay on once the car was started, but I had to
wait for a minute or so. Once you get it coded, had the dealer do my
C32, then it will work normally, but you will not have the auto adjust
feature. FYI, I have a C32 and C55, these came off of the C55.
The price is $600 obo shipped. Best way to contact me is through PM.

Here's a DIY on how to set your car to xenons using star.

If not find a dealer to do this for you and that should fix your problem. The dealers don't know by heart so print it and take it with you.
Good luck my friend

Wow.. $600 OBO.. steal of a deal, wish I had a C55! GLWS
BTW, how did you get to keep your headlights after they replaced them? I've had work done and they wouldn't give me the old parts - they said they had to return them to MB.

I asked for them and they returned them to me, but I had a chrysler warranty. I wonder if that's the reason.Originally Posted by Twenty4Play
