Hi All, first of all I am new to this site so forgive me if this topic as been addressed. I have a 2012 Mercedes E350 and when I purchased it new I had an iPhone 4 and was able to sync my contacts in snap w/no issues. Since then I had upgraded to an iPhone5 and only recently noticed that my contacts in the car were not sync updating/deleting like they did when I had my iPhone 4. Thinking was some sort of glitch I decided to delete the contacts and reinstall. Once I did that, I have not been able to sync the contacts back in to the car via bluetooth. I have even gone to two Mercedes dealerships and they could not fix. The dealerships did tell me there is nothing I can do since its Apple's new technology in the iPhone 5 that is no longer compatible with Mercedes technology two years and older. I asked them if Mercedes had any plans to update their technology for the two year old cars and back and they said they did not know. Frustrated by this I decided to call MBUSA to get their take on it. They seemed surprised and said that I'm the only person who has called them and addressed this issue and they would have to research and get back to me. They did say in the end of the conversation its not a Mercedes issue since my old phone worked with my 2012 car, its Apple's fault for updating their technology. Really?! What?!
I truly find it hard to believe that I'm the only 2012 Mercedes E350 owner "in the world" who ones owns an iPhone 5 who has addressed this issue to Mercedes USA.
Anyone else out there with the same issue and more importantly, do you have any fixes?
