W211, W219, W220 and SLK AVIN RCA / Analog to MOST Fiber Optic Adapter - $200 Shipped
I am selling an AVIN RCA / Analog to MOST Fiber Optic Adapter as featured here:
https://avinusa.com/most-fiber-optic...edes-benz.html
It's marketed as working with the following vehicles:
Mercedes-Benz E-Class W211 (2003-2008)
Mercedes-Benz CLS W219 (2003-2008)
Mercedes-Benz SLK (2004-2008)
Mercedes-Benz S-Class W220 (2003-2008)
What this does is allow you to play through the stock amplifier / audio gateway (AGW) through standard RCA connection. This box converts an analog system to a digital / optical signal that the AGW accepts and plays over the stock speakers.
I installed this on my 04 E55 AMG and it worked as advertised. I will say that whatever you use to play to the AGW needs to have an equalizer for best results.
I bought this as a temporary installation to bridge me from replacing the stock headunit with a tablet. This device allowed my tablet to play through the stock speakers. Like I said, this was a temporary installation as my final plan is to use aftermarket amplifier(s) in my installation. That's my reason for selling. I came across a great deal on a pair of amplifiers and I'm bumping up to phase 2.
Actual pic of the unit:
Only thing changed on the device is I extended the power and ground wires so the install could reach the cigarette lighter wiring at the rear of the center console.
Of course I realize this is one of my first posts on mbworld (long time lurker) so my credibility should be scrutinized. Please see my references below for other forums I've sold on:

My E55 has the HK system in it and it worked. I know all the speakers had sound coming out of it but i didn't really dig deep into calibrating it. I do know I had to work with the equalizer on my tablet to keep the base levels down on the front center speaker.
