question for ducati riders

fellow riders, I'm toying with the idea of purchasing '10 ducati 848. coming from GSX-R 750 how different is this beast. I haven't had a chance to test ride any ducati yet. i know i can expect 848 to be much more agile and obvi more power, but what else...any input is appreciated.

biggest thing you will notice is the torque - ducati has approx 70 ft lbs and the gixxer around 50 I believe. I had a 2007 gsxr750, a great bike as you know - agile, smooth and great power north of 10k. the duc twin will feel more powerful, although the gixxer has slightly more HP. ride the bike, you will love it. I have a 999R, awesome machine.

twin vs inline4 big difference, you'll need to get used to it first and you'll miss your gsxr top end for sure.
timing belts, no slipper clutch unfortunately, no steering stabilizer, and low end suspension components on the 848 are also things to keep in mind if you make the switch.

Once you go Ducati, you will never want anything else! Hopefully you have one by now

I'd take the BMW S1000RR over a Ducati all day long.

I owned a Ducati, an had no problems getting rid of it for a better bike!
