My Suzuki PE 250
Hi Guys I hope you can help me.
I recently purchased a 1977 Suzuki PE 250 (competition ISDT style bike). Got it running right but haven't actually used it yet.
The manual calls for a minimum of 95 octane gas. I store the bike in the BC mountains and 91 octane is the best available octane rating there. So I'm thinking I need some octane boost.
Does anyone here know the ratio of octane boost to gasoline I should use? Any advice about mix ratios etc would be appreciated. Also, are there certain brands I should look out for? Apparently there is a chemical readily available at some paint stores that will boost octane...but I hesitate to try it on my new baby without more advice. Can anyone in the forum help me? I'd like to get the octane rating just above 95.
Thanks Doug
