I'm not sure if people check this forum, but I'm looking for a Mercedes specialist in the Boston area that is a bit more affordable than the dealership. I'm always willing to pay for good work, but I only make enough money to get by. I've been saving some money on the side to get some things looked at.

The issue: Bouncing Lock Actuator

The lock on the passenger's side bounces. I took the door panel off and took a look in there myself...the task just seems too intimidating for me. I'm worried I'll break the window while drilling out rivets.

I'd like to bring this to a knowledgeable professional who can replace the actuator.

I was able to beat a quote out of the Mercedes dealership, who said it would be ballpark $750 to $1200 depending on circumstances, but you know how that goes. I simply can't afford the dealership.

Anyone have any recommendations?

I swear I'm not a cheapskate, I'll happily pay as much as I can afford.
