I'm getting around 18 or so average. Lots of city / city freeway driving.

my mpg is in many post around the board. I have a mixed driving commute most of the time.

Everyday work commute average upon destination arrival is 24.7 - 25.0mpg / 50% city/50% cruising on backroads

Long trips of 40 miles or more 26 - 28mpg / Mostly highway

I drive safe and at post speed limits - not hard on throttle at green lights or stop signs

And I do not use cruise control I get better gas milage without it even on highway.

Just filled up the 550 today, $122 for 81 liters. 16 L/100 KM or 15.1 Mpg on the second tank. Lots of short trips and little highway driving. Love being first to go at the red lights though! Or the on ramps where I can really goose it.

Wow... What a difference with my 350 BT. I also fueled up today. $101 for approx 74 liters. I get around 9.1 L/100 on the average driving around town. Better than my 2009 B200 Turbo I used to drive. I was getting around 11 L/100. With the price of diesel at 15 cents per L less than premium, my ML is significantly cheaper on fuel than my previous vehicle.

Nah, its gas. If you search some of my older posts I have post some pictures.

It's about how you drive (my ML is not special or different). Yes, I am a little slower off the line(not turtle slow, I keep up with traffic - if you have gas you know they get up and GO), however its not a race to me. It's just a little challenge I have with each tank, instead of how fast I can go - its how far I can go. Hasn't got boring yet and its not not saving me much money anyway.

If I go 530 miles with one tank and 630 miles with the next, that saves....almost $18 bucks @ avg 25mpg. Not a big difference.
