Hi to all.
First post, from the land down under.
I'm new to MB's of recent times. I have owned a 1974 W114/115 250 Compact 2.8ltr. in the past. That was a rock solid, good performer, but thirsty due to its twin two barrel (similar to Holley Double Pumpers) Zeniths or Solex (cant remember). I do have 2010 C250 sedan in the garage at present, but I'm looking to buy a C207 E Class Coupe, in the near future to add to my collection.
I am interested learn which of the engine/year model combinations to look out for, and of course which to avoid. Also which are the desirable Options to have, such as Distronic etc. Don't see to be many with that Distronic in Oz. I'll be scouring these pages for the good oil and looking forward to the chat!
Welcome to the forum all of you new members! Thanks for your intros. It’s interesting to read all your stories. Please post a photo of your M-B if you haven’t already
I bought a 2005 CL55 AMG a few days ago, and have been enjoying driving and repairing it... So far I've disassembled the PSE down to the solenoids, cleaned everything, and reassembled, restoring all vacuum functions (which are still sluggish, but that should be resolved with a replacement rotor). Rear license plate surrounding trim was loose in one area so I removed and repaired 3 or 4 of 8 mounting points with e6000 and JB weld, resulting in a flush panel once more. Next item will likely be replacing the transmission 13 pin connector, since it appears to be leaking.
Overall, this has been a fun vehicle to own so far!
First time MB owner in South Central TX. Loving the comfort and luxury of the E class. Sleek as a silver bullet and still runs like a dream. Looking forward to the drive ahead, and pretty sure I’ll only shop MB from now on.

Hi my name is Jerry and I hope I'm doing this right. I have a 1994 SL320 and I'm having problems with the MAF sensor. The person before me made wired it straight from the ECU to the MAF. I put a new MAF sensor in the car but it is still running very ruff. I notice the wiring from the ECU was hooked up half *** I don't know if I hooked it back up right. Can anyone tell me the colors of the wires from the MAF and where the connect in the ECU?
thanks,

Welcome to the forum. This is the new member section. You need to post your question in the SL section of the forum. You should find people there who can help you out.
What’s up ladies and gents, I’ve recently purchased a c400 and have all the parts I wanna put on the car except wheels. I wanna go aggressive with a concave wheel but safe as well of course I was thinking 19x10 with -20 offset for rear and 19x9 with -15 offset front is it gonna cause any issues to the car?
New here, not new to MB's. Prefer Sacco era pre-beancounter engineering. Apparently it's mandatory to upload a pic. Here's the daily. Just out of warranty therefore time to mod.
cheers.
Jason in Dayton Ohio, I’ve owned several BMWs (currently own a 2011 328ix and 2006 X3) and just bought my first Mercedes Benz (2014 GL450). It is an amazing vehicle!
Looking forward to getting to know you all. Always a pleasure to hear from other enthusiasts, especially ones with automotive knowledge. I do a fair amount of DIY on my Bimmers and expect to on the GL as well. Nice to have a place to go with questions.

Reason: Typo
Hi fellow Benz enthusiasts!
I've owned my Benz now for over two years. I've loved every minute of it. I upgraded from my high school wheels (04 Jeep TJ) to the GLK after my cousin had purchased one and loved the SUV. I've been aware of this forum for sometime, browsed for some repair suggestions and such. I figured it was time to join up. Hope to connect with some of you in the near future.
I hope this is the correct area. I could not find a "Check In" Link so chances are I am doing this completely wrong.
I have acquired a 2000 Mercedes C280 with a boatload of electrical issues. At first it was the engine compartment CAN network which seems to have been resolved by unplugging and plugging in modules. Now all that remains are these DTC codes.
ESP-Electronic stability program
C1504-009 - The system is deactivated. Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) has not been initialized. MIL ON&Stored&Current (I believe I can fix this by turning the steering wheel lock to lock)
DCM3-Door control module rear driver side
B1010 - The supply voltage of the control module is too low. Stored&Current
B1155 - Switch 'S21/3 (Left rear power window switch)' or switch S21/4 (Right rear power window switch) is operated for over 25s. Short circuit to ground Stored&Current
ESM-Electronic selector module
P1817-2 - Component 'Reversing lamp' has a short circuit to battery. Stored&Current
I hope that by my fellowship with the brightest minds in the Mercedes community I will learn how to get this car in top shape and add to my Mercedes diagnostic skills.
Again please forgive me if I am in the wrong area as I could not be certain I was doing this correctly
