Hi, Tony here, my Mercedes is a '99 C 230 K, with 117k miles on it. It is a great car that we love and has been just an awesome machine. Had a '94 560SEC that was too messed up to rebuild and give it the dignity it deserved. Another C 230 K that was sold. I am keeping this '99. I live in Bethesda, Maryland.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Mercedes CLK430 Renntech Cabriolet
Hi everyone,
Tony in Dallas, Texas signing in! These forums have been a lifesaver for me already. Fixed the stop light sensor and got rid of the light bulb error message (when no bulbs were out) based on information given here. Fantastic forum! Probably saved me a couple of hundred bucks already.

'14 MB GL550 Diamond White/designo Porcelain/Black Leather w/ Bang & Olufsen BeoSound
Hello, everyone. I just found this forum yesterday & am very pleased to have so many educated MB owners available to offer knowledge & answer questions. Our new '14 GL 550 arrives this week! Beyond excited! I've posted in the GL subcategory, so I'll only mention a few details here. Diamond White Met, designo Porcelain/Black Nappa Leather w/DYNAMICA headliner, Piano Black Lacquer Trim, Pano Roof & Bang & Olufsen BeoSound! We drove a more equipped one, here in Miami but didn't feel the need for Night View Asst so we had a broker find one at the NE Terminal. I'll share photos when we get it & I'm sure I'll be asking questions-this is our 1st Mercedes Benz!

New Member in need of E55 AMG HELP!!!!!!!!!
A couple years back I did not even know what an MB E55 was until I purchased one by happenstance. Once I learned how cool this 5.5L (5.4L) engine was with it's 350HP and almost 400 ft/tq I then saw a "Kompressor" model. I test drove it and afterwards dreamed of this car day and night for over a year. I finally found the most perfect one (for me) and had it shipped to Chicago, IL from Texas. Even after paying a 3rd party Porsche, Maserati, MB, Ferrari shop to do a pre purchase inspection and was told "I would buy it if I were you, there is absolutely nothing wrong".
When it arrived at my home it was missing all the door pin locks, the MB trim plates inside the door sills, the panoramic roof never worked once and all the tires were dry rotted!!
So I find a local Euro Mechanic to take care of the car for me and within the first 90 days my water pump and thermostat fails, along with that pipe that runs along the bottom of the FMIC ("from rubbing against the road, curbs and parking stops"). I was quoted $640 just for the water pump, not installed, just for the part!!! The pipe under the FMIC cost me $450! So I go onto the internet, order a 2004 E55 AMG water pump and my mechanic says it is not the right one, it is for the E500. Ok, so I return it. This time I grill the company I am ordering from to verify that it is for other 5.5L engines and not a 5.0! The part comes in and again my mechanic says "not the righ part". Now I gave in and paid the $640 just so I can get my beloved car back but can anyone tell me why every web site on the internet list the 5.0 and 5.5L water pumps as the same parts? Even if they do not and they only list it for the 5.5L why would it be wrong so often?
This is my first bad experience with an MB AMG ever. I plan on having this fixed and hope nothing else goes wrong like this! I still love the vehicle, I just want to drive it. As of right now they cannot tell me if I destroyed my engine when the WP went bad because the car's temp went all the way to red, the warning symbol came on and I had to shut the car down immediately. Does anyone think if I turned the car off the minute my temp went up and had it flat bedded to the mechanic, that the engine might be ok even though it did see crazy high temps for a short period of time? I also did not mention that just before the temp shot up there was a really strange siren or whistling noise coming out of the engine compartment right before I almost got home. The high temp issue happened as I pulled in.
I would appreciate any and all thoughts from those of you with knowledge of these vehicles!!!???

Hello fellow mb devotees. I'm in Charlotte NC
I picked up my 1st Mercedes back in September. It had about 46,000 miles, I'm up to 53,000. So glad we can turn the traction control off. My rear tires are all ready going bald, mostly on the inboard 25% of each tire though...(weird). It's a bad a** car.
A few other small issues i'll research on here:
1. Air bladders in both front seats do not work
2. Express up on drivers window doesn't work
3. Can't figure out how to make the key fob remotely put the windows down or hook my smartphone up to the bluetooth.
The car is awsome. It doesn't burn oil or coolant (drive pretty hard rarely in "c" mode). And the leather smells great every time I sit in it.
CHICKS DIG IT. They never expect that acceleration.

1998 SL500
I am looking to buy a 98 SL and am being told the 97 and 98 are the best of the years to buy with that body style, due to mechanical changes and reliability
Do you agree with that?
Also, is the 600 worth the extra power?
Thank you!

MB Noob but not a Forum Noob: ;)
Hey Members, I'm David and I just bought a 96 C280 from a friend of mine.
I'm from Western Washington, currently reside in Vietnam for work but am returning in a few months... hence the need for some wheels.
Like I posted in the title, I'm relatively new to MB, have modded lots of Nissan products such as Sentra SER, Primera P10 chassis as well as P11 chassis.
the car has a fresh engine as well as some other goodies such as exhaust, 17" blocks and some sort of hi end audio system.
It's just gonna be a DD so as far as my mod list goes it wont be too much but we all know that's how it starts. I'm certain a subtle drop will happen in the near future, upgrade to 18" wheels and perhaps some basic engine mods once I read the stickys on here.
That's the condensed version, will post pics once I'm back stateside and driving it.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thanks & Best Regards, UD.

Howdy!
I am in Henderson NV and happy owner of 2 Mercedes; a 2010 ML 350 and a 2002 SL 500 Silver Arrow. Which sadly to report I must part with. We have a baby! yeah!!
I lease for a while a 2012 C250 with Blue technology. That car zoomed! I traded it in for the ML. Thinking about my dogs you know. The little zoom zoom was too small for a teen and two labs.. lol
I have not figured out how to add a new post for selling a car. Any help would be appreciated.
