Hello everyone and thank you in advance for any insight, advice, opinions, or whatever. I am now retired, and honestly have had some pretty cool vehicles in my long life, some I wish I had kept. I have owned in past for many years a 72 Chevy C10 step side, 76 Chevy K10 step side, a 68 Camaro SS/RS, a 97 BMW 840, an 03 BMW M3. I have never owned owned a Mercedes Benz but have owned many BMW's most of which lost tons of $$ in value from what I paid for them. They say you get smarter with age! The reason for joining this forum is I am now in the market for an AMG SL 55, 63, or 65 and would like to hear some of your thoughts. This will be my last fun & impractical ride so I plan on keeping it until they take my keys away.
My goal is to find a relatively low mileage (under 60K miles) AMG SL in the $25 to $40K range with hopes that it will not continue to drop in value. All of the vehicles I have previously owned mentioned above have all gone up in value from when I acquired them and continue to do so. My new to me AMG will be garage kept, driven in daylight on nice climate days, with less than 2,000 miles per year added to it. I have done tons of research, and think the SL65 would be the one but the other two would have similar fun factor. Any insight from any one is appreciated. Cheers!

I'm Jorrit, 37yo from the Netherlands.
Born & raised Mercedes, so when I finally needed my own car, only 1 brand option.
First car was an 's203 C200 from '06 which served me great!
But after a year of 5 I wanted an upgrade in both class and also power (really wanted a V6).
So after some internal discovery I decided on a very good looking s211 E350 from '08.
But after half a year, some issues arose that I've been trying to solve for 2 months now.
I'm running a bit out of ideas, so hence my registration to see if the great knowledge here can help me further

Hello MBinites! I'm Edward from Huntsville, Alabama. I just purchased my first "new to me" 2012 MB CLS550. I saw this car originally on the TV show Donovan and I've been in love with it ever since. I found my car in Tennessee and bought it shortly afterwards. It's been a wonderful experience so far. My car has a few miles on her 128,000 +/- . I recently took it and had a ceramic coat applied she is absolutely stunning. This car is a lot of fun to drive but now that I'm getting more comfortable with her and I want to try to work on a few small issues. Hopefully I'll find some MB Guru's here who have a ton of knowledge and experience. Here's a pic of my car. I've not yet named her but I have some ideas. Pic taken the day after I got her back from the shop who did the ceramic coating. My new to me CLS 550 after getting Ceramic Coating applied

Hello Everyone. Just got started on this new MB world. While looking for a second vehicle for my house hold, came across a 2008 C300 Luxury with 60K. Vehicle is rust free and pretty decent. However some issues are there which I consider normal for a 15 yr old car, which I am hoping to sort out with the help of the Forum!
