New here too
Hello, Joe from Leesport, PA. I have always been a Chevy guy. First car was a 69 Camaro. I wish I still had that one. We have owned one foreign car since being married 32 years ago. It was a 1981 Subaru Wagon. I always said I will never own another. Tried to Stay American. We buy a car and keep it until it finally nickle and dimes us to death. Our Daily driver was or still is until insurance company get off their butt and sends an adjuster from the severe hail damage. She has 125,000 miles on her and all but the radiator I just put in a month ago was normal minor maintenance. Have had a Corvette that I hated to drive. Over 6 feet and I always felt cramped. Love to ride Harley Davidson and Long distance rides. Any way we always said our next car was going to be a MB. And the hail damage has pushed us to buy before we wanted. But today we found a 2014 Cardinal Red E350. My better half and I both love the color. We should be able to pick it up tomorrow. I checked prices on a new Tahoe just for peace of mind and they range from $57,000 to $69,000. E 350 are right in that range. So with the GM recall issues and bailout I am going Mercedes!
On a side note my 2004 Chevy work truck speedo said 30 miles an hour at a complete stop with only 46,000 miles on it. 85 miles an hour is the new 55. Did some research and found many complaints about a recall they did not do. I did get it working again, but for how long? Looks like my next work truck will be a Ford.
I hope to have no issues with the E350. Anything I should keep an eye on?
Joe

Hello MBWorld!
Time to finally introduce myself, lol. I joined almost a year ago, but was just reading up to prepare myself for my first Mercedes-Benz purchase. Now I finally have my Benz, a 2006 C350 Sport Sedan, and I couldn't be happier with it! Nice to know there's a good place to go for all my W203 and future Mercedes questions.![Cheers](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/cheers.gif)

Hi I am Jerry. I have two, both 1994, a C280 with 170,000 and a E320 with 157,000. Between the two I expect I will be spending some time on this site. Hopefully for educational and hobby and not so much out of necessity as is the case for me joining today.

2004 S500 "Andromeda"
Hi - Terese from Niceville, Florida.
Sold the "Grit" newspaper at 9, all occasion cards and a paper route at 12, detassled corn by hand at 16, Military for 22 years (thank God for life) and just bought my 1st MB at 54. A used 2004 S500 with 96K miles. First night I got up at 2 and looked in the garage! Anyway, named her Andromeda and am amazed at the ride, technology, and overall awesome experience. Tightened the wheels down, checked water, gas, oil, and we headed down an interstate early on Sunday morning at the crack of dawn, before traffic - like cruising at 38K feet without any turbulence! I fly a lot and this car is like flying and didn't have to raise the radio volume, my voice, anything - 120 is the same as 60. I joined this site to "get in the know" on ownership to keep costs down and do as much of my own maintenance as possible while still enjoying it. Goal is to read posts and not pester anyone unless I've exhausted my searches and can't find answers, and ultimately, lend a helping hand when I can. So far, lots of smart, enjoyable folks on here - cheers to you.

New MB Owner
Greetings from sunny (and hot) Phoenix AZ. I recently purchased a 2004 ML500 V-8 with 80,000 miles on it, from the original owner...my first MB and it's a dream. Looking forward to rubbing elbows with fellow MB owners.

New member, with a common issue....
Hi all, My name is Nick, and I'm from Norfolk in the UK...just recently purchased a second hand CL55 AMG, in metallic black, and it has a problem that I'm trying to find the solution to. "Coolant, Visit workshop"
the coolant level is absolutely fine, and the temp hovers around just above the indicated 80 on the gauge, and drops when the stat opens etc.... if anyone can point me to the appropriate section, and/or threads, via a link, it will save me some time in scrolling through everything! Thanks for your time, and looking forward to bumping keyboards with you all real soon....Thanks.

New to MB Forum and never owned a Mercedes
Greetings everyone, my name is Cesar and I am from Colorado Springs, CO and I am new to the Forum and reading everything I can about MB. I've never owned a Mercedes or any luxary car, but I do see them roaming around and I am very interested in purchasing a 2001 CL500 with 59,000 miles for $11,990. Or a 2002 CL55 with 83,000 miles for $18,000.
I have come to get the best advice from the experts on this forum and the articles I have read so far are very informative, a special thanks to everyone being so open and helpful.
What are your recommendations?
Thanks a million
Cesar
