1st Benz

Guten Tag,
Found myself in an unenviable position when my engine went kaput last month. Everyone warned me, "Don't buy a 1st year model especially with a newly designed rotary". It would have been 10 yrs next month with that RX8 and I loved that car. . . anyway,

Needing a "reliable" vehicle in a hurry I purchased a 2005 C230 Kompressor Sedan from a reputable (?) dealer. Looked clean, ran well, nothing remarkable on the car fax. I just wanted the CEL fixed. . . Two days later I went to pick it up following replacement of an intercooler seal. Hand shakes from salesmen complete, I headed off the lot towards home. I hadn't left the lot when it threw another CEL and wouldn't shift out of 1st gear. "Fix the CEL", as I tossed the keys back to the salesman and got into my wifes' car. Three days later a new conductor plate, plug adaptor, pan gasket, filter, and new tranny fluid, I got it home without further issues. The following day I discovered the rear window shade wont go down and the CD won't play or eject. There are more phone buttons on the dash and wheel for a car without a phone or bluetooth to pair my phone. Yes, I saw the $300.00 dongle advert which might make the buttons work but it's not really necessary. The cd changer was missing the carousel tray which I ordered before I discovered there is a MP3 adapter which can be purchased for Ipod etc.. and there was a cup or so of coolant on the garage floor which I discovered this evening. Don't know what is going on with that but the reservoir is completely full when warm, overflow maybe??
So, for 10K I'm driving my 1st Merc. A 2005 supercharged 4 cyl with 116K miles. IT's a deep dark blue, tinted windows, polished alum. rims, and when I drive by, all the honeys say, "Pretty fly for a white guy"!
This weekend I'm taking it to Hans Gruber for a thorough physical. I hope he is as excited as the honeys are following die Inspektion. Regards, Dave
