Manugacturing fault with SL350
Hi There
I'm very new to this site, in fact 4 minutes however very keen to share my problem.
I have an SL350 07 plate, I purchased it 24 months ago.
Quite recently I had to have the pump in the boot replaced due to damp getting in and cost me £750 with Merc giving me a 30% contribution as this was a common fault.
Now I've had the engine management light system appear and found out that this is the cam causing the engine to lose power as the engine is off balance and apparently this is a manufacturing fault!
Does any one on here have this car and problem? If so please get in touch as I do not want a % contribution from Merc, I want them to foot the bill as this could cost £2k+...........
I've only just had the electronic plate to the gear box replaced.
I would just like to know how I should go about this.
