2011 E550 4MATIC
New member saying hello!
Just wanted to post a quick intro and hello...
Recently a "new to me" frustrated owner of a 2011 E550 4MATIC w P2 package. Car had 58,000 miles when I picked it up, but 2 days later, the rear right airmatic seal started leaking. MB wants $3k to fix it (Rear Spring, Airmatic Pump, Airmatic Valve) so the dealer i purchased it from has had it for the past 3 weeks for repairs, but feel they are just running out their 30day warranty, and then will fix my car.
Regardless, I'm just glad to get that out of the way while under dealer warranty, as my extended warranty doesn't cover airmatic. From reading the forums, I haven't really seen many other serious issues with these vehicles to be concerned about, but if you have experiences or warnings of things to look out for, please post them here for a noob MB owner..
I went through a recent tough divorce and my credit took a big hit, so I didn't go to the MB dealer, but my next purchase will be with MB. The service level I experienced was hands down incomparable, and you can't shake a stick at their extended warranties.
