Phone Problem
Hi there. I have just inherited my uncles 2005 E280 Aventgarde. It's a great car but I cannot get my iPhone 4 working through the hands free kit. I have the genuine mercedes (non bluetooth) phone cradle connected to the pre wired system and the phone does charge when inserted but I always get the no phone message on the display. I've spoken to two Mercedes garages and both have told me entirley different things. One said the audio 20 head unit is not compatible the other said there is a problem between the cradle connector and the head unit. My Uncle used a phone cradle for his phone and it connected no problem so I don't think it's the connection. Any ideas? I don't know if it's significant but I also put a CD into the head unit and it comes up as no CD and wont eject the CD I know is in there is this perhaps connected to my phone problem. This forum seems to be the go to place for answers so any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
