Starting Issue. Ignition locked ?
Okay I give up Help ! Have a 2000 CLK 430. 2 weeks ago it cranked perfectly in the garage( and drove it) . Today on 1-1-14 still in garage went to crank it and the following occured.
As soon as I put key in, it felt like something ( a clunk) or shaft or something was sliding over and doing something to my key. As if it was blocking something on the key from talking to the computer. All lights on dashboard lit up, but it just did not crank. Dashboard msg popped up said "remove key".
Suggestions ?
