E280, 2006 model - Gear locking!!

E280, 2006 model - Gear locking!!
Hi guys, l have recently bought an E280, 2006 model with 96,000kms and its a Gulf spec - l stay in Dubai.
The problem l am facing is that while driving the car engages into a lower gear and locks in that gear without shifting up or down, even if l try to shift manually it does not respond. So to resolve this l will have to pull off the road, put the car in park and switch off and switch on the engine and then resume normal gear shifting. Before this happens, the car jerks during up-shifting or down-shifting. Once l feel the jerks the next thing is the gear locking.
Secondly, there is a buzzing noise that comes out of the front left fender whenever l unlock the doors, step on the brakes or lock the car.
Can somebody assist me as to what is causing these problems before l take in for repairs because it is out of warranty or agency repair now, so l need an idea of what is going on.

Transmission Slip E280
Someone to help please with this problem. The gear just slips into a lower gear while driving which l cannot tell and does not up-shift or down-shift.
when l stop and shift the gear to park and turn off the car and start it again, if there is no jerking when shifting gear into drive then it will resume to normal function BUT if it jerks then it wont even engage any gear.
please advise what could be causing this and its intermittent......thanks peeps!!
