Hi guys.I just got a 2008 e550 with 37000 on the clock.Car is awesome,i know my way around cars since i've been doing everything myself on most cars that I had before which were mainly US muscle cars...talking replacing heads,installing superchargers,gears in the rear ect... that being said this car my first benz and that thing is a spaceship.the only thing wrong with the car from what I saw underneath was both rear shocks were drizzled in oil....so I just got it and will replace them myself...I was surprised about the price when i called the dealer.490$ a pop so my question is,is that common issue with those cars? I mean i figured since being a RWD and all that torque+weight every time on launch it gets rough on the rear components is my only logical explanation for that to happen.now the only other thing i can't figure out is the phone function.From what i read in the booklet when i press the phone function twice it's supposed to pair with my phone which is a iphone 5s but for some reason phone can't detect the car. Another thing is that rocket looking thing in the console between the seats the actual bluetooth?The other thing i was thinking is maybe the car has his own phone built in it and just have to be activated...which i doubt it.
The other thing i saw was that I have a AUX input cable in the glovebox with iphone 4 end on it.is that the only aux option or theres more somewhere and i just can't find them?
Can i conect the bluetooth somehow so I can play music from my phone over Bluetooth?
I figured someone here will be of big help and save me the trip to the dealer and 200$ LOL THANKS!

MB 2007 E550 V8 AWD
Would it be possible to know what your out the door price was for your 2008 E550?
I just checking to see if i overpaid or underpaid for my E550 4matic 2007 with 100,000Km.
Or shoul di just stay quiet and enjoy the car anyways..lol

MB 2007 E550 V8 AWD
So i guess i may have paid a bit too much but it was a dealer car so i guess i paid some commission there.
its ok though since it is my first MB i will forget the price easily once i slam the gas pedal and hear 384 hp come to life.
