New to this forum, greetings.

Currently considering a CPO 2010-2012 E 4Matic w/ Pano roof. While in the past I've owned new 2002 S420 and 2006 CLK550Cab, my question is; will the 350 be enough ? or do I 'need' to over power with a 550 ?

the two I'm considering

cpo 2011 white/black 350/4matic, 24k miles w/ pano at $36k

cpo 2011 bronze/beige 550 (no 4matic), 35k miles w/pano at $38k

 

I would say it's a no brainer to go for a 2012 e550 with the new biturbo v8. 2012 e350 wouldn't be a bad choice either with the better v6. But you'll get a lot more opinions over at the w212 forum for 2010+ e class models.

Drive both - I think the E350 is enough for normal driving. However, the E550 is a different animal. It is faster and smoother. Personally I prefer the E550.

 

I was in the same situation a few months ago. After driving both I made the decision to get the E550. I think the E350 has good power and is a great car but the E550 has so much more for not much more money. The V8 is very smooth and has a lot of power. It looks sedate but can really move. The airmatic suspension is very nice. I also liked leather seats and it is ver hard to find leather in an E350.

Both cars are nice and getting a CPO you can get the extended warranty so you don't need to worry about any issues.

I love my 2011 E550.

 

Ditto...i've owned 250/350 and now TWO 550 models. Much smoother ride and great handling.. power to match the exquisite styling...
