Hello, Joe from Leesport, PA. I have always been a Chevy guy. First car was a 69 Camaro. I wish I still had that one. We have owned one foreign car since being married 32 years ago. It was a 1981 Subaru Wagon. I always said I will never own another. Tried to Stay American. We buy a car and keep it until it finally nickle and dimes us to death. Our Daily driver was or still is until insurance company get off their butt and sends an adjuster from the severe hail damage. She has 125,000 miles on her and all but the radiator I just put in a month ago was normal minor maintenance. Have had a Corvette that I hated to drive. Over 6 feet and I always felt cramped. Love to ride Harley Davidson and Long distance rides. Any way we always said our next car was going to be a MB. And the hail damage has pushed us to buy before we wanted. But today we found a 2014 Cardinal Red E350. My better half and I both love the color. We took delivery last week. I checked prices on a new Tahoe just for peace of mind and they range from $57,000 to $69,000. E 350 are right in that range. So with the GM recall issues and bailout I have now gone Mercedes!
On a side note my 2004 Chevy work truck speedo said 30 miles an hour at a complete stop with only 46,000 miles on it. 85 miles an hour is the new 55. Did some research and found many complaints about a recall they did not do. I did get it working again, but for how long? Looks like my next work truck will be a Ford.
I hope to have no issues with the E350. Anything I should keep an eye on?
Joe
