Hello All! My first Merc.
I was going to buy myself a Porsche 911 but needed something more practical to carry my Ice Hockey gear in. With petrol being so cheap here in Dubai and coming from the UK, I have always fancied owning a V8.
First car I test drove was a CLS63. After 2 minutes I was hooked. Thus my search for an AMG began. I could not find one in decent condition so tried some other models:
CL63> Very nice
CL65> Very quick but too refined and more of a Grand Tourer
C63> Puts a smile on your face but would prefer two doors over 4
I could not find a decent example of any of the above 63`s. All had obvious problems and some were just complete dogs. Bought by owners who had refused to spend money on them and trying to sell to avoid another large bill.
I had avoided the E63 as I thought it was too large and would be tame like the 65. I was very wrong. Although big and luxurious it sounded awesome and I liked the fact that I could cruise in relative luxury and when desired turn it into a V8 growling animal. A true "Jekyll & Hyde" car.
I never buy from dealers and so after 4 months of looking I found this gem. I could tell it had been cherished by the owner and it was head and shoulders above the rest of the cars I looked at. I had it checked out at a local specialist and then found out that the cats had been removed. This is why it sounded so good!
Also has AMG factory external and interior carbon pack.
I really love this car and find myself most of the time just driving at low revs listening to that booming V8.
