I have a 2012 SLK55 with 14,000 miles on the clock
1. It has an engine vibration at 1500 RPM in neutral
2. It has like a timing chain rattle on the overrun in 1st and 2nd gear
3. Engine noisy when in 4-cylinder eco mode - which from trials makes virtually no difference to economy!!
4. Car has no spare wheel, nor is one available, so I can't risk it abroad.
I think this is totally unacceptable and put it down to a hand made engine being much worse than one made by precision robots - or the design is flawed?
If Mercedes cannot sort is I will have to take them to court - any comments welcomed
