So I'm new to the site, but ive been on here doing alot of research on my ignition. I have 97 mercedes e320 w210. My ignition switch recently went out. I couldnt get the key to turn at all, but we were able to eventually get it by drilling out the tumbler and a few other things. We got the car to start but then my steering column was locked. I found a thread posted on how to turn the lock and did that. Now when i start the car the ignition switch will b in place but to shut it off it has to b pulled out some away from the dash. Abd the car turns over but wont start. I dont know if the abti theft is possibly engaged or whats going on??? Can someone plz help???
