Is this a good car?
Oil changes
Spark plugs and boots
Coolant flush
And other minor repairs
I have about $4000 to spend.
I found this 1999 e320
http://sandiego.craigslist.org/nsd/cto/4611788852.html
It looks to be in very good condition, and I belive that it has beem well taken care of,
I have asked him about th car abd he has already done most of the crucial servicing including
Recent mobil 1 oil change
Tranny service
Spark plugs
Front brakes
Coolant flush
Also I noticed the Porsche 928 in the back ground as well as in the description he says he bought an e55, so he is likely to be an auto enthusiast and he probably took good care of the car.
My main concern with this car is that it has 138,000 miles which I know is'nt alot for a high quality automobile like this but it seems like a lot to me.
Also another thing to take into consideration is that I can only make between $200-$500 a month with becsuse I am a full time engineering student, though my food and housing are paid for (thank god)🐨🐧
Will this along with around $4500 in savings be enough to properly maintain this car.
Anyways I guess my question is, if you were in my position would you buy this car?
Thank you so much for your input
isn't the w203 a lower quality car, or is the w210 about the same?
also I don't know if there are any w203's with decent miles for around $4000?
At 100k+ anything can go wrong with any vehicle so you have to be ready for unexpected repairs.
I would ask the owner for a full service report and also have it inspected to see if anything needs to be done besides the usual maintenance.
