GPS antenna Gone in ML320 W164

ML320 W164 2008
GPS antenna Gone in ML320 W164
Hi all,
The GPS in my command system is just showing 0 satellites,
by reading the forms here it looks like its the antenna that is gone.
now i have ordered a new antenna from ebay to replace it.

does anyone know where the GPS antenna is located in the ML320 W164 series?

or do you recommend just unplugging the antenna from the back of the unit and plugging this new antenna in and leave the antenna underneath the dash it will still pick up satellites?

any information would be greatly appreciated.
