New Guy in need of a bit of help with 190e
Hi -
I'm new to the forum and joined hoping you guys might be able to answer what seems to be a fairly easy question that I can't seem to find an answer too. I did search the old threads a bit, but with no luck.
I just picked up an 85 190e 2.3 and so far its been great. However, it is leaking/burning oil like a sieve. There is an obvious leak coming from the valve cover gasket going down into one of the sparkplug chambers and out onto the engine. When going to order a new valve cover, it asks if I want one with or without 'level control' - I have no idea how to tell which one I need. If any knows or knows how to find out, I'd sure appreciate the help.
Also, presuming a new valve cover doesn't stop the oil leak/burning, I'm guessing the next thing to go to are new valve seals? It's got great oil pressure.
