Exclamation Need Advice! 2006 Mercedes c230

Hello, All!

I need some help here. I retired my 2000 Celica (RIP). I bought my dads 2006 c230 sport (see pic above). My goal is to make this less of my dads country club cruiser and make it into something more my style.

I would like to have this stance (see pic) w/ the stock rims that are in the 1st pic above. However, I have no idea what it takes to lower a vehicle, what should I purchase/ what should I ask for exactly at a shop?

Other than that this is what i am thinking: Take off embelms minus the mercedes emblem on the back. Powdercoat rims black. Tint. Install my 2 10's that were in my celica. Any other thoughts? Main issue is trying to figure out how to lower the car. Thanks Guys!

Welcome man!

I also used to own a 2000 Celica GT and a 2001 GT-S!

I also own one of these C230 sports. It is pretty much stock except I removed all of the emblems for a cleaner look (minus the mercedes emblem). I believe you can lower the car with coilover suspension. I also have a S55 AMG that i was able to lower with lowering links because it has the ABC suspension. Personally I think painting rims black kind of makes the car look cheap.

You know, I actually do agree with that. I will keep the rims original. Think a good 1st step is getting some quotes for lowering the vehicle.

Excuse the Newb question, but what exactly should I ask for at a shop to get the results as seen in the 2nd Pic? Thanks!

no problem a all man, well looking at that picture, it looks like the car is lowered with a set of wheels. I actually plan on getting some wheels like that for my S55 AMG. Look for TSX Mirabeau wheels or Vertini Monacos.

As for removing the emblems, it looks much cleaner without them

As for coilover suspension so you can lower your car, I highly recommend these. KW Variant 1' - you'll be able to lower the car more and still have good ride quality
