2004 SL55 Loose Fuel Pump?

2004 SL55 Loose Fuel Pump?
I believe my fuel pump has come loose inside the tank. When I slow to a stop with a half tank, I can hear something swinging back and forth within the tank. It slows and then stops within a couple of seconds. With the tank full, no such noise. When there is not enough fuel in the tank, I suspect the pump is swinging back and forth, hitting the sides of the tank.

Anyone else encountered a similar problem? Am I looking at a costly fix just to get to the tank and the pump? Thanks....
