Vibration at high speed
I recently purchased a 2003 SLK230 Kompressor with only 7500 miles, confirmed by Carfax and also by just inspecting it (looked like new). The only problem was that the original tires had great tread on them, but they had a lot of small cracks. I figured a twelve year old set of tires could be the problem. Today I got some new Michelin tires of the same size put on the car, and it is amazingly smooth now. I was able to momentarily get it up to 80 miles per hour on the freeway to test it and everything is now great. This is a really enjoyable car to drive.
