Hello from new member and new MB owner
Hello MBWorld!
We just shipped our 2nd of 3 kids off to college yesterday. Since we're down to the one full time in the house and we had 170K on our SUV, we decided to downsize to a sedan. Of course, my wife wanted a "luxury vehicle" and I started searching about 3 months ago. We're downsizing but still needed something that my 6-3 son could fit somewhat comfortably in the backseat. MB was not even on the radar as I thought it would be out of our price range and, honestly, I had heard horror stories about reliability and the price of parts and labor.
Well, after pricing out and test driving many different brands and models, we just took delivery on our first MB - a 2013 E350 4Matic Sport in Indium Gray. It met all our criteria nicely, was well within our budget and, with a little reassurance from a coworker who drove a MB with 180K on it, I got over my fear of repairs (enough to take the plunge, anyway.) My wife drove it home so now I can't wait to get off work and start checking out and playing with our new wheels!
Looking forward to learning both the good and bad things about the car as I like to do as much maintenance as I can on my own stuff as well as make minor improvements.

Welcome to MBWorld. W212 is a solid ride which I'm sure you'll enjoy greatly. There is a MB tax on certain services you'll notice, but as long as you're smart and shop around, the cost of ownership shouldn't be bad.
