After being a member for nearly one year, I finally took the plunge two weeks ago and purchased my first Mercedes. It’s a 2007 S 550 with 40k miles. I must add that I love it! I originally wanted the AMG package but when I found this one, it was love at first sight. It does not have all the bells and whistles but there are no regrets. My wife, who prefers BMW’s, has admitted that she “really likes” the car. J We took an overnight trip to Louisiana on Friday which was a total of 1400 miles and have never been more comfortable. No fatigue after several hours of driving.
The gas mileage was awesome too, for a big car.

That is a possibility in the future. The first thing that has to be done is the steering wheel... I have got to have the wood steering wheel... I have been looking and the lowest I have been able to find a gray one was roughly $750.

Try checking junk yards. Might find a steering wheel for cheap. Although most likely airbags have been deployed, but you could just transplant the one you have now to there.
