E320 Wagon 2004
W211 Rear Suspension stuck in high position

W211 2004 e320 Rear Suspension- stuck in fully lifted state. Does anybody have any experience with this condition? The rear end (wagon) is raised to absolute full height position and remains there. Happened during a highway ride after 15 minutes of stop and go traffic. First noticed high amount of bouncing from the rear end. Once I parked the car, the rear end was clearly jacked up. Has not settled down as of this morning. I tried pulling fuse for rear lift system.
Could this be ride lift sensor? seems to not be a problem with an individual air spring as both are fully extended.

Thanks for any tips !

I have the same thing. There is diagnostic alert to visit repair shop. Mine has lowered over time. It used to release air after I parked it, but has stopped doing so. I could use any suggestions also.
