Just bought a 93 190 e 2.3
Hi Benz fans,
I just purchased a 93 190e 2.3. It has 121000 on it and hasn't been said to have been driven in about 8 years. The reason being the infamous stuck key ignition lock problem. The owner never got it back together. The cars dash, console, steering column, ignition, lock, kickpads and ect. have been removed; rather unprofessionally. We were able to jump start it to hear the motor and such, which sounded great. In short; it looks like a reasonably well maintained, original, low milage, one owner and very clean car that was stored in a garage. Real nice seats, dash, headliner etc. and a very clean body for a Michigan car of its age.
I would like to get the dash and other parts back together, clean it up and use it as my daily driver. It appears as though everything may be there as well as a new matching lock and key and the original code alarm.
I was wondering if anyone else has found one of these in a similar state of disrepair and what luck they had in getting everything in order.
I am new to Benz's but I have an older 7 series Bimmer btw.
