burmeister audio
Is the $6500 Burmeister audio in Mercedes s coupe or S class worth the expense? I have listened to the basic Burmeister audio and was not impressed.

Better than stock base audio, but not better than what you can do if you go aftermarket custom setup for the price.

I like the B&O system I had better than the Burmeister, but you're pretty much going to always be better off going with a custom setup at an audio shop from a performance and price standpoint. The only reason to go with the dealer upgrade really is if you don't want to bother with opening up and replacing/rewiring your old system to do an upgrade and potential voiding electrical warranty issues. Your call there.
Not sure how big of an audiophile you are, but most I know just upgrade the tweeters and throw a sub in the back and call it a day as the mids aren't bad.
