Petrol oil 0w-40 in diesel engine

Mercedes CLS 350 CDI Grand Edition
Petrol oil 0w-40 in diesel engine
Hi All,


I have a wonderful Mercedes CLS350 CDI Grant Edition, but I did something a bit stupid today. My oil needed topping up and I was sold the 0w-40 mobil 1 oil (petrol?) instead of the 5w-30. I put 1 litre in, would this create a problem?
